Brown-headed Cowbird (j) [Molothrus ater] 6/17/2021 FDR State Park- Yorktown NY Hatched and raised by a yellow warbler family, this cowbird chick fell from the nest, crashing 30 feet through 4 sets of branches before coming to rest in the tree 6 feet from the ground. First flight, sort of, and mama came by with a caterpillar treat. Photo# 1468
